Too sweet isnt it? This is the tattered teddy stamped with chipped sapphire distress ink. My niece Skylar made this, she is 15, for my grandson Silas. It has his name and birthdate on it. I have been showing my sister in law and two nieces how to stamp on candles with tissue paper. They went out and bought all the stuff do it themselves lol. They fell in love with it, and the teen girls dont care for crafting. My niece Sophie even did a school project with this method. She had to do something on Mark Twain, she printed his picture and a quote she liked by him onto tissue paper and put it on a candle. Her teacher thought that was awesome. Yesterday Skylar made her daddy a candle with the logo for Tampa Bay Rays, he thought that was just the neatest thing ever. My sister in law even painted with acrylics on tissue paper. She made a christmas tree and put it on a sage and citrus candle, I didnt even know you could add this to a colored candle.

Snowman candle

Challenges:
Craft My Life-all crafts
Anything but a card-shiny sparkly blingy
Crafty Sentiments-anything goes
Tuesday Alchemy-anything goes
Penny's Paper-anything but a card

I used to print stuff onto tissue paper to put on my candles but it ruined my printer. So I am using rub ons now. I had these tiny little Christmas ones, so got me some 2 1/2 in candles and started making some for gifts.

I used a rub on on tissue paper

I put it against my candle and wrapped wax paper around it

I used my heat gun to melt it into the candle

I added more snowmen and Christmas trees

I added some bling and gold trim

Fairy Candle

photo inspiration-Some Odd Girl
anything goes-Southern Girls Challenge
fairies-Crafty Creations

Oh man I am having way to much fun with adding stamps to candles. This one was an already colored one from Sara at The Sherlock's Home. And its free! I printed it once but went over where I had added tape to hold down the tissue paper to the cardstock, so I  printed it out again but forgot to wait for the ink to dry so there is a little run onto the petal but you know I didnt care, I love this candle. Then I added glossy accents to her wings and used it to hold on the gems and the gem letters that spell beautiful. I just got the glossy accents today, I have never used it before, pretty awesome. The gems came in the mail today, thank you D. Thats all I know because there was no card, lol, I dont know who sent them and the swirls and the adorable snowman stamp. So whomever sent them, thank you so very much!!

I am entering this into Lollipop Craft Challenges anything but a card challenge.

Homemade flowers

I made some flowers yesterday. The three are felt and buttons. I found out I can use felt with my cuttlebug and big shot dies. I only had a couple of colors of felt but thought they made cute flowers. The big one I made with rose petals, not sure of the material, but almost feels like paper, but its fabric. I got the ideas for these from KSUE on youtube. The petal flower are rolled at the end and glued to a circle, I added more to the back to fill it out, then added tulle, bead spray, I put a felt flower to cover the middle really well and added a button. Its too big for a card, but thinking about adding this to a frame or candle. Not sure yet. If you want to see a picture tutorial of how I made this let me know I will do one.

Baby your a firework!

Guess who is this months guest designer at Cute Card Thursday? ME!! I am so excited, I was so happy when  Deb asked me. So this is my first project. A Christmas tag. The challenge is fireworks, or the colors, fire... So I didnt know how to do fireworks so I went with a flame from a candle. This digi is from The Stamping Boutique. I colored it with coloring pencils and watercolors. Then I added some snow stuff, its really cool and dimensional. So head on over and play this challenge, its an awesome one.

Repurposing is my life

I shopped at the Goodwill last week and found a few treasures, I promise you will be seeing them soon. I found  this little wire birdcage looking thing, it had a candle holder inside and grapes and leaves on it, I cut it all off with  my wire cutters. I also found an adorable owl necklace, I put the owl inside and used part of the chain to hang it and added more the hang the whole thing. As you can see I added lots of flowers and pearls, vintage laces from Lavish Laces etsy shop, I am a huge fan of hers lol. Plus I won these fabulous metal letters from my crafty twin CG, so I spelled owl across the top. I watch youtube videos, all the time actually lol, of tubeyoumaster and she did this little scroll with a piece of old bookpage,so I copied hers. My niece says its Harry Potters owl and thats his message lol.
I added some white paint to it, those are the pieces I cut off, I will probably used them elsewhere

This is with the owl inside, I shortened the chain later

This is with the lace and letters and some pearls added

I made this biggest flower on the cuddlebug

Here you can see the charms and the scroll

Hi little owl
