Teacup and violet

I got this gorgeous teacup stamp from DRS Designs. I won it when I won a sketch challenge on Card Patterns a couple of weeks ago. The sentiment is from Studio G. I just got my first embossing machine yesterday, a cuttlebug, so thrilled. I have been watching videos on youtube for altering the embossing folder. So I dont have a brayer so I just rubbed my chipped sapphire distress ink on the folder, then run my paper through. I love how it made my paper look.

I used the spotlight technique on this bird stamp from Inkadinkadoo. Hubby got me some new crafts today, yeah me! He got me two sets of stamps, the sentiment words are also from Inkadinkadoo. And he got me a Cuttlebug, yippee!! I have wanted one for over two years. I got 4  embossing folders, this is my favorite, also the only one I have used, swiss dots. The designer papers are from 7 Gypsies, the journey pack. The wrinkly ribbon is from Dear Lizzy.
Okay and my favorite part, besides the embossing, I took some blue sequins and glued them to the wing. I used my new tombow glue, I kept seeing people talking about how much they liked it, so got some today.
I sanded the swiss dots, distressed the edges of the bird square, and lots of distress inks.
I used some of my designer paper and distress ink for a matching envelope.

Check out post below for my blog candy.
Okay a bunch of pictures, sorry about that. I saw this tutorial on youtube for an album made from manila folders. So I used her basic idea to create on of my own. Now this one isnt fully finished, I have to add pictures. My three nieces, Skylar, Sophia and Jordan will be the subjects. I am putting the pictures as sepia toned. This is for my mom, so I stamped granddaughters on the front. I used lots of Tim Holtz papers and distress inks. I added my new liquid pearls, ribbons and flowers. Some K and Company die cuts.

Above is the flap up and this is flap down. I used this paper that had lines on it so I could write about the girls. There is also a tag and pocket. The wings are from KAndrew Designs.

This is my cat George trying to butt into the picture, and eat my ribbons.

Again flap up and then down, thought these would be great for adding bigger pictures. I made another tag pocket and then an open pocket to slip stuff in.

I made this with four little tags, not sure what I will put on these yet but I am sure I will find something.

flap up and down again, and a pocket to put more stuff in.

this is the back. The black binding is leather from my husbands old wallet, thanks baby lol.
I will be posting this again after I add pictures.

I just fell in love with the concept of it. So had to try it out. So another cas card for me. Hubby says he doesnt like them cluttered. Which I struggle with anyway so I decided to go with what comes more naturally to me. Just simple. I had a rainbow challenge and I thought this paper was perfect for that. I colored the girl with sparkle pens. Then used silver stickles for the peace sign. I almost forgot to make a Valentines tag for my year of tags project. I started by using pink and red distress ink on the tag. Then I added some heart pp. I stamped LOVE with a Club Scrap stamp I won. I heat embossed some hearts in red and pink. I accidently got a little of the blossom pink embossing powder on the edge and didnt notice till I had heat set it. I thought it looked cool so I run the edges along my distress embossing pad and then sprinkled more pink embossing powder. I love the way it made the edges look. I added some rhinestones to the flower centers. Then I added some die cut flowers from K and Company, the metal mon ami is from there also. Then I added a pink metal swirl says romance, I think its from K and Company also, not going to swear to it though. I added some gorgeous silky pink ribbon I got from My Favorite Things.
