Altered Cork

My friend Cheryl from Canada sent me some corks. She has done some lovely altered ones and I was eager to try. So this is my first attempt. I painted it with gesso then layered several laces around it along with a string of pearl trim. I added this gorgeous heart button I have been hoarding for some such occasion. I added a stick pin at the top that I made plus a couple of charms and some peach lace I dyed with my sprays. I made a spray from a mixture of a water and a little acrylic paint.
