Letter C journal page

Please check out my blog candy at the top of the page!

My husband found me these great paper mache journals from Michaels for a dollar. The pages are really thin, so I painted them. I painted this one with gesso, then light blue paint. Then I used my brand new texture paste and bird cage stencil. I painted the little birds yellow. I added a piece from my dictionary page, canary. I was gonna use cage but I had already used it lol. I added a sentiment that says,
in the colors of sunset
the colors of dreams
in the memory of a song.
Thought this went well since they are also known as songbirds.
I saw this great year long challenge at The Craft Barn. Its a dictionary alpha challenge, this week is C.  Last time was V, I missed that one but still wanted to do every challenge, so that one will be posted after this one. I used Victorian for that one.
