Okay I have been thinking for a little while that I wanted to make a journal for to keep up with my books. I am an avid reader, I mean like a lot of books lol. So I forget sometimes if I have read a book, or if a favorite author has a new one coming out. So I made this journal just for the books I have read. Plus I will have a place to put recommendations, I belong to a book group and we are always recommending books to each other.
So Simon Says Stamp and Show is having a challenge and blog hop, Read All About It. I was so inspired looking through everyones projects, my favorite part, they told how they made them. I am always so intimidated by Stamp and Shows designers projects, they are so fabulous and I am always thinking I could never do that. So them walking us through them is awesome.
So I took a composition book and covered it with some Tim Holtz paper, then I stamped and embossed, painted, framed, glossy accented it to death lol. I love how it turned out. I added a ribbon to the back so it could be a marker, and put a Tim Holtz metal tag on it, says Know. There is another Tim Holtz tag on the front that says "Reality is limits, Imagination has no boundaries"
If you look at the pictures closely you can see my newest favorite stamp, its on the inside cover and bookmarks also, its a coffee ring lol. It looks like you sit your coffee cup down and it left a stain, I think its so cool.

I took a manila folder, I measured out 3x5 rectangles with pencil, I stamped it before cutting it, that way it looks continuous, till you take it apart.

I made these awhile back but thought they would be great to put on a page where I really had a connection with the books.
This is the pocket I put on the inside to hold the bookmarks and journaling tags.
