I watched a video on youtube, Stamp TV and Gina did this video. Totally inspired this card. Actually I totally ripped it off lol. Well I just used same basic products, not exact. I just fell in love with the concept of it. So had to try it out. So another cas card for me. Actually except for a small piece of ribbon, no embellishments on this card at all. The flowers are cherry blossoms from TPC Studio and the love sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo.

This is groovy girl from My Favorite Things. I thought she would make a great birthday card for my niece. The circles are from K and Company. I have been doing cas cards here lately. Hubby says he doesnt like them cluttered. Which I struggle with anyway so I decided to go with what comes more naturally to me. Just simple. I had a rainbow challenge and I thought this paper was perfect for that. I colored the girl with sparkle pens. Then used silver stickles for the peace sign. Sophie loves rainbows and the 60s icons.

I almost forgot to make a Valentines tag for my year of tags project. I started by using pink and red distress ink on the tag. Then I added some heart pp. I stamped LOVE with a Club Scrap stamp I won. I heat embossed some hearts in red and pink. I accidently got a little of the blossom pink embossing powder on the edge and didnt notice till I had heat set it. I thought it looked cool so I run the edges along my distress embossing pad and then sprinkled more pink embossing powder. I love the way it made the edges look. I added some rhinestones to the flower centers. Then I added some die cut flowers from K and Company, the metal mon ami is from there also. Then I added a pink metal swirl says romance, I think its from K and Company also, not going to swear to it though. I added some gorgeous silky pink ribbon I got from My Favorite Things.

I have been MIA for awhile. I had my daughter in law and 4 month old grandson staying with me. I loved having them here but sure have been missing crafting. So I decided to slowly get back into the swing of things by starting with a clean and simple card. I have already made all my valentines so decided to make a card for a really good friend as a for the one I love challenges. The stamps are from Studio G. Okay which one do you like best? I took a picture of the first one, then decided it would look better with stitch lines around the flowers. So heres another picture with the lines. I won some blog candy and this paper pack, Basic Grey (Infuse) was in it. I love this flower pattern, so I cut some of the flowers out and then pasted them onto cream cardstock and made this into an ATC. I added pearls and these corner brads from Spare Parts. I stamped Blessings on it, the stamp is from KAndrew Designs.

Isnt she darlin! Shes from Sassy Studio Designs. I used glossy accents on the lollipop to make it all shiny. The embellishments are from K and Company. I wanted two different patterns of paper but didnt want them to clash so I used a bold black and white. How do you put together two different patterns on one card? I can do it if its from the same paper line but when its not I have trouble figuring out what goes together.

This is a gift for my stepdad Kevin. He is always making lists so when I was thinking about making him something, altering a composition book seemed like a great idea. I cut out birthday blessings and the stars with the George cartridge. The file tab is a new punch I just got recently in a big thing of blog candy. The papers are from Colorbok.

I crafted a pocket to hold this journaling tab. I stamped birthday candles from Imaginisce on it. Also part of my blog candy haul.

So I have been an absentee blogger, and here is why.

My Silas is here. Along with his mom, my beautiful daughter in law Ashley. But I got the biggest surprise, my son was with them. He told me he wasnt coming in for a week after they did because he went to SKorea later than Ashley but he was lying, lol. My husband, brother, sis in law, nieces, everyone knew but me. So late last night hubby got back from Nashville airport and he had all three of them home. So I have been over the moon happy. So I wont be around for awhile, I am a happy mom, and grandma!!!

My husband got me this paper from Making Memories Glitter Trails Pitter Patter Oliver for Christmas. I am so in love with it. I was looking for a digi to use with it and came across this one and thought it was perfect. I made up a sentiment and printed it out. This image is from Free Vintage Digis, if you havent checked them out, you really should. I stamped Live the life you imagined from Tim Holtz and embossed it with distress embossing powder. I stamped Delight in the small things from Studio G in walnut distress ink. I added plenty of pearls. You can see in the first pic there are no pearls on the butterfly, then I decided to add them. The birds, butterfly punches and metal pieces are from K and Company. I added some twine to the sentiment that was recycled from Christmas present.

This is for my wonderful sister in law, she encourages me to go further and further with my crafting. Love ya EO.

I have been watching Tim Holtz videos on youtube. So got a little inspired. I made a bookmark for hubby ages ago but its getting a little ragged, plus he always has more than one book going at a time. So all the stamps are from Tim Holtz Playful Journey set. I first embossed the clock with clear embossing powder. Then I used tumbled glass, chipped sapphire and vintage photo distress inks to color the tag. Of course that wiped right off the clocks, love love love how that looks. Then I stamped the striped pattern with the chipped sapphire, and stamped the sentiment and the bike in walnut stain. Added some ribbon and took a quick pic and its already stuck in a book lol.

I wanted to make a card for my daughter in law Ashley for when she comes home in 18 days. YES! I am so happy. Ashley and my grandson Silas will be home the 3rd, my son doesnt get to come home till the 14th :(. So I put this card into a celebration challenge because I am definitely celebrating their return.

Okay now this stamp, I have wanted this stamp like forever. I first saw it when Michael Strong was on a craft show years ago, I dont have a link for the show but here is a link for the same project on youtube. I am going to be trying this technique very soon. But anyway he had a sale, no sales tax, so I got this for 7 dollars. So happy right now woohoo lol. I doubled the butterfly and I added rock candy distress crackle paint on the top butterfly and I only connected it on the body of the butterfly so the wings can fly.

Well I had one more Christmas card in me, thought I was done, but forgot someone I had to send a card to. Yeah right about the time I got their card in the mail, I remembered oh yeah gotta send another. So Sherry, this is for you lol. Okay lets start, the snowman and sentiment is clear stamps from Studio G. I did the masking technique so I could have a blue background. I colored his nose and hate with glitter pens, and black coloring pencil. I used crystal stickles all over the snowman. The buttons I colored then changed it to using button brads. I embossed the sentiment and a couple of snowflakes, doesnt show up as well as I would hope. The green paper with trees on it is from Tapestry by C.R. Gibson trees and tinsel paper. I shrinky dinked some snowflakes.

Let me tell you this was so easy. Okay okay I know this isnt Christmas paper, but I dont have any double sided Christmas paper so there. This paper is from a Tim Holtz pack I have had for awhile. I love how this turned out!

When I say simple to make I really mean it, took me about 15 minutes to make. Nothing special to make it. Takes 5 pieces of 3x3 paper and 2 pieces of 1 1/2 inches of paper. 7 inches of ribbon and a button. Thats it! A few folds and some sticky tape, tada a gorgeous star ornament.

I got this cute tiny notebook in a prize package, it was for Halloween and had an adorable monster on it. But I wanted to use it for Christmas. My husband got me some adorable snowglobe stickers. My niece loves penguins and so I made this for her. I just took the coil out and covered it with Christmas paper and then added the epoxy stickers.

I used the 2-5-7-10 box tutorial from SCS for this project. I stamped birds in chipped sapphire distress ink and snowflakes in tumbled glass distress ink all over white cs from Colorbok. I added some ribbon at the bottom and some to hold it together. The really cool flower has winter words all over it. I stamped the bird on this little tag and on the back it has to: from: on it. This will hold a gift for my grandfather. (Its sweet goodies, shh dont tell my grandmother lol). Hey the man is 89 years old, who cares about a few calories at Christmas time, grandma thats who, so like I said shhh.

I have been seeing tutorial for using ribbon spools and thread spools to make ornaments, so this is my version. This ribbon spool had five different ribbons on it. I kept it around, sure I could repurpose it. So I have this pretty paper and I wrapped it, then traced the top and bottom to add more paper, just used a pencil to poke out the hole in the middle. I used my red liner tape to put this lace around the top and bottom and then hot glued on the roses. I used a wire to help me get the ribbon through the middle and then added more roses around the top of the ribbon, just left some stem on them, poked them in and added a bit of glue to secure.

Now I know your asking yourself, are these photographed in front of towels? Why yes, yes they are, and that my dear friends is what happens when you say, honey will you photograph these for me while I clean the kitchen lol.

If any of you know my sister in law EO, dont show her this picture, this is a gift for her tree lol.

I Love this image from Sweetly Scrapped, and its totally free. As is this ticket from Miss Cutie Pie. The music background is from Hobby Paleis, I cant link to them, seems they shut down their blog. I printed everything out and then put the music paper over a shipping tag and distress inked in antique linen. I added a sheer ribbon and then a flower, from my Marlooney stash lol. I decided to make a set of Christmas tags, I made them all the same except I used different distress inks. I embossed the sentiments, then stamped and colored the reindeer and bird with coloring pencils. I used my white gel pen for the spots on the reindeer and the birdies tummy. I used red stickles on the reindeer's nose. I left a blank spot at the top for names, thank you hubby. I used twine and ribbon both. I got some unusual colors for the tags, like purple, but I really like the way they turned out. And really like the assembly line way of doing these, 7 tags only took me a couple hours.

This is my last week as the guest dt for Cute Card Thursday :(. I have had so much fun, didnt realize I missed being on a dt. So there is a sketch to follow this time and this is my version of it.

I had these adorable rub on snowmen, like forever, so I decided to use them here, LOVE how they look on this card. I also did the masking technique for the very first time with the trees. I wanted it to look like a forest. Hubby bought me some brads, paper, and the tree and snowflakes stamp from Studio G at walmart. 8 brads for .97cents woohoo lol. So I added this birdie one flying around the trees. So Cute!

I added a little let it snow ticket and dont you just love those swirly snowflakes at the top.

Okay again I took a picture with and without flash, makes it look so different. I am sorry I didnt mark where I got this image from, which is too bad because they deserve the credit. The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo. I printed this onto a piece of copy paper, then laid the tag on top where I wanted it with some tape and printed onto the tag. The shipping tag I rubbed three different distress inks on it before printing, antique linen, crushed olive, and forest moss. I just got these from Hobby Lobby, they were on sale 1.50 off, so 3.50 a piece, pretty cool. I added some buttons and ribbon, and this little charm, kinda looks industrial, not real sure what it is.

This is my third project for the guest dt on Cute Card Thursday. The challenge is grey and green, you can see I had trouble keeping it to just those two colors lol but they are in there. Splitcoaststampers card pouch tutorial

I used the tutorial for the card pouch from SCS to make this, link above. I changed a few things, as you can see below I added a smaller pocket on top of one of the other pockets. I added some little tags but you could add some stamps or whatever to it. The thank you stamp is from Studio G. I had a lot of fun making this but it took me 3 days to do it. I changed the envelopes a few times, couldnt get them just like I wanted. I love this paper from Colorbok, kind of a victorian feel to it. I am giving this to my best friend Becky.

Well this book card was a first for me. I have been wanting to try one for awhile but couldn't find a tutorial that used inches instead of cm, I cannot work cm lol. So I found one, but think I used the wrong kind of paper to make the "pages". I used colorbok cs and it breaks when you score it so doesn't have that kinda puffy look to it that I see on others. I started in one direction with this and just completely changed on me. I know it has a feminine and a masculine feel to it, but that's why I called it an art book card. I just kept adding elements that felt right to me. I love how it came out, though it probably wont appeal to everyone. Anyway hope you like it, or can give me pointers if you don't. XOXO Christi

I am the guest designer for Cute Card Thursday this month. Today's challenge is Red's for Remembrance. I used a poppy background digi from Digi Sparkle, unfortunately they are closed now. The sentiment block is a new one from Bugaboo that I just won.

I watercolored the poppies, I know it kinda runs and gets a little messy but I like the way it looks so I dont care lol. I added a little green for foliage but mostly stuck to the red and black. Very clean and simple card.

This project all started with a blank canvas board and some butterflies, dragonflies and flowers that my sister in law got me from K & Company. They are in paper and acetate and I just love them. She also bought me two Tim Holtz stamp sets. This sentiment is from Lifes Possibilities. I recycled a tag, I cut the used part off with my scallop scissors and rounded the corners. It was already inked so I just stamped on it and then put stitch marks around the edges, then added some ribbon.

For the canvas, I painted it white, then used crackle medium, then this teal blue. I put ribbon around the edges and then added some buttons. I put butterflies, dragonflies and these gorgeous flowers. I wanted to fill in the bottom so I just added some prima flowers and buttons. I have a ribbon on the back so it can hang on the wall.

I used the tutorial from SCS to make this 3x3 note holder. I made little thank you note cards and envelopes to go inside. Today is my sister in law EO's birthday and this is for her. The pink patterned papers are from Tim Holtz. One of my favorite paper packs. I forget where the paper for the envelopes came from I just liked the romantic feel to them. Guess who is this months guest designer at Cute Card Thursday? ME!! I am so excited, I was so happy when Deb asked me. So this is my first project. A Christmas tag. The challenge is fireworks, or the colors, fire... So I didnt know how to do fireworks so I went with a flame from a candle. This digi is from The Stamping Boutique. I colored it with coloring pencils and watercolors. Then I added some snow stuff, its really cool and dimensional. So head on over and play this challenge, its an awesome one.

I love this pussy willow in a jar from Diane's Digital Designs. I wanted a bookmark for my mom, and she loves fall and pussy willows so tada lol. I stamped a leaf background. I wanted to make matching boy/girl tags so I used all the same items just opposite colors. The stamps are the baby set from Autumn Leaves. I had to use dusty concord to stamp on the girl tag because I only have spun sugar for pink, I used it for the bg. I stamped the boys tag in chipped sapphire and tumbled glass, so they are in my monochromatic challenges. I added gems and stickles. I tied sheer ribbons into bows and wound flowers into the ribbon. I wish I knew someone having boy girl twins, this would be great for them lol. So if anyone knows anyone let me know, these are yours.

I took two pictures, one with flash one without, you can see different details with each, I sometimes have trouble deciding which to use, so I used both lol. This little darling is Groovy Girl/a la modes from My Favorite Things. I got her free, wasnt that awesome. I used another of my shipping tags, really really hooked on using these. I put some wild plum alcohol ink from Ranger on my blender, then I went a little wild with it, I wanted her to have a groovy background. I colored her with watercolors. I love using them, I dont feel like everything has to be precise with watercolors. I used a bunch of different yarns instead of ribbon.

Okay I got the idea for this tag from Lorraine's video on youtube. She scored the top of one of the shipping tags at an inch, then glued that small flap to the other tag. So put a couple drops of wild plum alcohol ink onto wax paper and squirted some water onto it, then dropped these tags into the water. I then stuck the wet tags into an old notebook to dry and stay flattish. Lol, it left blue lines from the notebook on the tags, well I liked the way it looked. On the bottom tag I stamped for you sweet friend over and over. The stamps are from KAndrewdesigns. The front tag I stamped a music background stamp from Prima. I added a paper doily to the edge, then added gems to it. I put on some ribbon, its so cool it has purses and shoes on it. Then stuck a recycled flower on top. I added a couple of butterfly brads and set of lips brad. I put some pink and purple ribbon at the top and then strung on a ribbon charm. I wanted this just as girly as I could get it.

I found this new challenge blog called The Culture Shock, and its so cool. I really love the theme going on right now. Its called The Breakfast Club, which is of course one of the best 80's movies. I created a tag with Be U, and a list of the names they called themselves, based on how others saw them. I added a pair of cool 80s glasses and well if you saw the movie you know why that big diamond is on there. I used different blue inks to color the tag, it reminded me of the blue in Andrews jacket, yes total crush on Judd Nelson back in the day.

So off to Office Max, do you know you can only buy these in packs of 100 or 500, holy moly I am going to be making a lot of these lol. I got the 100 pack by the way, 5.49 not too bad. I got three card making kits from Generations on clearance for 3 dollars apiece. I dont knows the original price but the first clearance sticker was for 13.49, so good deal. I forgot to add, the school colors are black and orange, isnt that perfect for Halloween.

I didnt want to make another Halloween card, so I got this cute little box from Hobby Lobby for a couple of bucks. I inked it with black soot distress ink. This I added Halloween papers from Studio G. I printed out some Halloween stuff from Sassy Studio. I stamped some fence from Studio G. Then I embossed a couple of coffins and bats. I inked some of it with warm honey distress ink. I love how this little box looks. I cant wait to put some candy in it and give it to my sweet sister in law.

This is the newest image from Sassy Studio Designs. I have been entering the progressive challenge and this is the third image I have recieved, and my personal favorite. I used paper from the Rosewood pack from Colorbok. I added pink ribbon and sheer pink ribbon, a tag with twine and prima flowers.

This is Steampunk Amelia from Sassy Studio.

This is the card I made with her. I had to use clock or gears with her. I didnt have gears, I didnt have a clock either but I had this paper with clocks on it. So I used the paper and cut out one of the clock and covered it with glossy accents and added a diamond to the middle, then one to the middle of her waist. I stamped love you, from Studio G and put another jewel in the middle of the O.

Well I had a challenge to use my scraps, so there is not a single piece of new paper, ribbon or twine on here, everything was from my scrap collection. Okay not the buttons or flowers lol. This flower and sentiment stamp are from the 97cent bin of Studio G stamps at Walmart. The yellow paper is this really cool textured paper. I stamped the flower in a permanent black ink, then colored in the flower part with prismacolor pencil, and then used the colorless blender by prismacolor to smooth it out. I stamped the kraft paper, then used my white pen from Sakura to color in the word you and go around the outside, I also used it to put stitches around the outside of my card.

I am sending this to my grandmother. I havent seen her in a while since we moved and I am missing her and my grandfather. Hope she likes it.

This steampunk girl is free from Sassy Studio, she is part of a progressive challenge. I used a key and brads for my metal element. I didnt have any lace for Crafty Ribbons challenge so I used paper with a lace pattern on it. I am quite pleased with how this turned out. I found this sentiment from Studio G in my new stamps and it cracked me up to put this with her. My husband said it was risque lol. I think this would make a great birthday card for a guy.

Okay I gave a challenge to my sister in law EO. I have been really enamored of birds and birdcages here lately, I mean really you are seeing them everywhere. So I bought this bird stencil at Hobby Lobby. Now if I use a stencil, it looks just like a stencil. But she is really artistic. So all I did was give her this and said, go to town with it. I love what she did. She used the stencil and copics to do this. Then she added some texture medium to look like snow. I stamped the sentiment in the corner and put it in a frame. I think she did a fabulous job. Thanks EO, your the best.

This is the first time I have ever made a round scrapbook page. I am not real sure this wasnt supposed to be added to 12x12 sheet of cs, but my nieces thought this was cool so round it stays. The girls are dressing up for Halloween and they want to print out small pictures of themselves and their friends to add to this page.I made a little journaling block for them to write about that night. I used my new falloween stamps from Getting Cricky to stamp Boo-tiful on the journaling tag. The banner is from Making it Crafty, I think. Sorry not sure where the bear is from. I used gems and the time to get candy stamp from Studio G.

I fell in love with this paper, I found it at Hobby Lobby, half price, so like 50cents I think. Then I found this image in my digi files from Paulette and it was perfect for this paper. I printed it out in accent color light 2 in microsoft word. I got the sentiment for 97cents at walmart yesterday. Man I love good deals lol.

Going through my stash and found these wonderful trees, leaves, a rake from Jolee's, and absolutely adorable owl from Reflections. I decided I had to make a card with these. I decided to use the tutorial from SCS, the double z card. I embossed a frame and leaves on the inside and stamped more leaves and the sentiment.

I stamped Happy Birthday on the inside of the card. This is for my niece Skylar, she is turning 16 on the 20th. I know its a little young looking for a teen but she likes stuff like this, want me to prove it? This is a picture of her birthday cake her boyfriend made her, his mom is a cake lady. She had her birthday party with her friends Sunday.

I made two treat boxes for my nieces, Sophie and Skylar, using the pizza box tutorial from SCS. The witches feet are from Bugaboo. The spooky treats sentiment is a freebie from Leigh. I colored the legs with spica glitter markers, then I inked around them with orange ink from Studio G. I inked around the edges of the sentiment with my new concord grape distress ink, fast becoming my new favorite. I used glossy accents on the eyeballs. I added purple and green jewels to the center of the webs. The cs is from Colorbok and the spiderweb paper is from Studio G.

Well I finally got his first scrapbook page done. What do you think? I am not too sure of the colors but hubby bought this kit and so thats where we are going for the first album lol. I got my twine from MFT, I won a gc, woohoo. I have wanted to use some of this stuff for a long time. This is caribbean, I also got lilac and blossom, I cannot wait to use them.

I adore this picture of Silas, so I cropped out his head, and then his hand. I really love the way this turned out and hope my son and daughter in law love it as well.

This is one of my favorite stamps, sweet little tattered teddy. I stamped him with my favorite distress ink, vintage photo. I used my newest watercolor pencils from Sargent Art on the to color in a few areas and silhouette the bear. The frame is from Colorbok, .99cents for a whole pack from Target, they are glittery, so I edged it with the distress ink to take some of the shine down. The cs is from Colorbok, the pp is from DCWV Bella Boutique stack. The sentiment is from Studio G. The pin is from my sweet friend Linda, thank you very much.

I created the background with a new stamp I just received called cherry blossom from TPC. I added gems from Studio G to the center of the blossoms and then some ribbon. I used two distress inks, concord grape and milled lavender to stamp the flowers and edge the white paper.

Dragonfly box

Has anything unusual ever inspired you? Thats what inspired how I stamped this dragonfly. I kept seeing the Macys commercials with the star that you click your smart phone on and how it had all the writing in the shape of the star. So I kept picturing stamping onto on of my stencils. So I took this little row of flowers stamp and used my chipped sapphire distress ink and just kept stamping till I covered the stencil inside with these flowers. Then I did a rough cut around it and inked the edges. I put it on top of this box made with this wonderful thick glossy cardstock. I added some white ribbon with a little heart jewel. Then I added all these fabulous prima flowers in blue and white (thank you so much Marlene), so it looked like it landed in a field of flowers. I needed a box to put the bracelet in that I am giving my niece for her 16th birthday.

I really wanted a card that showed off some of this rosewood collection from Colorbok. I am so in love with this paper pack. I added a die cut butterfly with gem swirls. The thank you is one I have been using a lot lately from Studio G. I added this gorgeous butterfly brad that I won and have been looking for just the right card to use it on. I added some pearls to stand up the card. I almost always go with a button but thought this was cuter for this card. This is for my mama, she is a huge lover of yellow roses.
